What was on
The most memorable event in June was the cremation of the Ubud Royal Families—Tjokorda Gde Agung Suyasa and Tjokorda Gede Raka. Tjokordo Gede Agung Suyasa or Cok Suyasa was the head of the Ubud Royal Palace. He passed away on March 28, 2008. However, the cremation was not started immediately. The royal families had to consult the day for cremation with priest; and it was decided to execute the cremation on July 15, 2008.
The cremation was considered to be the greatest cremation ever on Bali. It involved dozens of villages, thousands of people, the highest tower (called bade), two giant bull sarcophagi, and offerings.
