Beauty Of Nature - A Painting Exhibition

 Maya Ubud Resort & Spa will present a solo painting exhibition by a young, talented Ubud artist, I Wayan Suarmadi from December 20, 2004 - January 31, 2005.
Born in Ubud Bali, Wayan Suarmadi started painting at a very early age while still in elementary school. Inspired by both his great grandfather, I Wayan Gerudug and his grand father I Wayan Durus, who were distinguished painters of the traditional style. Wayan improved his painter skills by studying for one year with I Nyoman Daging. In 1992 he won second place in a national painting competition in Jakarta presented by the Ministry of Tourism, Post and Telecommunications.
| Through his paintings, Wayan expresses his admiration of the beauty of nature, a creation of God and being such he strongly believes, must be protected and preserved. His works truly display his own love for the beauty of nature.
By using acrylic and sand he creates unique paintings that are a tribute to the beauty of our natural surroundings.
