Nikko Bali Celebrates A Decade Of Success

 Nusa Dua – Bali, February 2006. The Nikko Bali Resort & Spa is proud to announce that 2006 marks its 10th anniversary. To celebrate this occasion, a series of socially oriented events have been planned and will run over a period of ten months ending in a ‘Grand Birthday Party’ in December.
The celebrations will commence in March 2006 with a stylish dinner party to be held in appreciation of all Nikko Bali’s supporters such as travel agents, media partners, airlines, consulates and government representatives. The party is themed ‘an evening of unbelievable illusions’ and will feature a fashion show, dances, magicians and a special performance by renowned Indonesian illusionist, Deddy Corbuzier.
| The festivities will continue on in the following months with events entitled the 2nd Bali Beauty Fair, Goa Gajah Enhancement Program, Nikko Open Golf Tournament, Tennis Tournament and Nikko Kidz Adventure with Tina Toon.
There will also be a series of activities that pay tribute to the island’s Hindu heritage with The Greatest Balinese Cultural Show featuring local dance and music performances. In conjunction with National Ocean Day in September, the Nikko Traditional Balinese Boat Competition will take place with some very attractive cash prizes for race winners and uniquely decorated boats. Activities will wind down towards the end of the year with a Peaceful Retreat Weekend Package that involves a nurturing meditation session with Balinese practitioner, Mr. Merta Ada.
| The final event will be Nikko Bali’s 10th Anniversary Birthday Celebration with a luncheon extravaganza for employees, local orphanages, disabled children and invited members of the community. An attempt will be made, especially for this last occasion, to create Indonesia’s longest satay and beat the existing record held by MURI (Indonesian Museum of Records). The proceeds for all events held throughout the year will be donated to the underprivileged in a special presentation ceremony.
| Never before in Bali has a hotel taken so much effort to celebrate an anniversary. To share in the enormous workload required, each department will take sole responsibility for the coordination of individual events. This display of ‘team spirit’ has already filtered down to all resort employees and energy levels are high. Therefore, the combination of several events phased throughout the year will enable optimal participation and enjoyment for everyone involved.
