Couples who would or has already been legally married in their country(ies) but wish to exchange – or even renew – their vows under Protestant, Catholic, Islamic, Hindu or Buddhist nuptial suits the best to it. However, inter-religious couples (i.e. a Christian bride and a Buddhist groom) and inter-religious matrimony (i.e. a Hindu couple wishes to get Islamic blessings) are improper.

Once a man and a woman are being wed in Islamic way, their marriage is legally authorized at once since KUA (Indonesian Registry Office) grants special service for Muslims as major religion. The ceremony is led by a Penghulu (Moslem minister). By the end of it, each bride and groom will receive Buku Nikah (Book of Marriage) as legit as Certificate of Marriage.
