Bhanuswari Resort & Spa is located ten minutes outside of Ubud, in the central foothills of Bali, where the artists live and work. The property has terraced rice fields gently sloping down to the Petanu River.

The concept for the property goes far beyond traditional hotels. It provides a true sense of place. The rice fields surrounding it are currently being farmed. And the entire property is surrounded by water – rice irrigation streams, natural spring-fed streams, and the Petanu River, one of the largest in Bali and great for fishing.

Furnishings in the rooms are produced locally from coconut trees, a sustainable resource. All of the artwork is by local craftspeople and available for purchase. Or visit the artist’s studio to select your favorite items, or even commission an original piece. Our staff will be happy to arrange crating, shipping, and handling if your purchases will not fit into your luggage.

Facilities:
Bhanuswari Resort & Spa will also host seminars and workshops highlighting Balinese culture and both self- and professional-development. Local artists and craftspeople specialize in Balinese arts (wood carving, batik, egg-painting, gamelan music, etc.) and Balinese massage therapy will offer on-site courses.

This is also the ideal environment for seminar led by international experts on creative writing, interpersonal communications, gender, innovative ways of learning, and other important contemporary issues and topics.

The second phase of Bhanuswari Resort & Spa will include both private and family villas with small individual pools, a second restaurant and a multi-tiered pool.
